THE ESSENCE OF PURE ASIA
Pure Asia restaurant, bar and lounge will be a sublime expression of Asia’s unique blend of the ancient and modern realms; where traditional wisdom is harnessed by modern style; where the bartender is innovative and the chefs are authentic.
Pure Asia embodies the ‘always open’ essence of Asian dining culture, transforming throughout the day from an impressive breakfast buffet, to lunchtime pool and beachside service, to the chic evening bar and lounge. Popular among Jumeirah Private Island residents and visitors from Phuket Island, Pure Asia will be the place to be seen for lunch, evening drinks or dinner.
A lively focal point to meet and relax, Pure Asia will be located close to the main swimming pool and the lighthouse, accessed via the Marina welcome centre or directly from some of the villas.
Sea views engage at every turn; the verge of an infinity pool into the ocean horizon; the island-dotted seascape. The restaurant is designed to capture the view and offer the ultimate Asian dining experience.
LOCATION
Pure Asia will be located on the narrow strip between the main part of the island and a small hilly area, with a lighthouse on top. To gain access one will enter through the Marina welcome center and reception or directly from the different villa sections of the resort. Pure Asia will be the focal point and one of the liveliest parts of the resort adjunct to the main pool where resort guests and villa residents will meet and relax.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
An exquisite ode to the Thai temple gate, the main entrance is a visual taste of what will be known as the best and most spectacular Asian restaurant, lounge and bar in the Phuket area.
Dine where you will, in the garden lounge, the VIP kitchen glass room, Tatami and Chinese rooms or one of several specialty Asian tables. Guests will be greeted by a friendly - hostess and escorted to their desired table.
The open air garden lounge will have seating pergolas all fitted with plump Thai cushions; all positioned to seize the view. All terrace seating will be wind protected with non reflective glass panels and during cooler seasons, several fireplaces will create a comfortable temperature. The house DJ will provide ambient music in accordance with the time of day and mood of the restaurant.
Innovation guides the bartender’s creations in the Sake & Wine bar. Relaxed but stylish with ultra modern specialty glassware, the bar will appeal to sophisticated guests who enjoy the modern-Asian lounge experience. The bar will accommodate sophisticated palettes with 20 varieties of sake and as many white and red wines stored in a temperature controlled cellar.
The menu will reflect the finest selection of Asian cuisine, expertly prepared from authentic recipes. An open kitchen configured into live cooking stations will feature Sushi, Sashimi and modern–Japanese cuisine, Indian Tandoori ovens, Chinese Dim Sum and BBQ, Thai noodles and Singaporean & Malay treats.
The integration of traditional and modern kitchen facilities symbolizes the Pure Asian concept of combining the past with the future. Old fashioned bread baking ovens, Tandoori ovens and barbecue stations stand out against state of the art kitchen equipment, sound and lighting systems.
A lunchtime menu of European favourites and comfort foods and will be served to guests at the pool, the beach and for private dining requests.
The key to the success of this outlet will be the location as a marketing tool and that it will be the only restaurant, lounge and bar, which combines the flair of the different great Asian cuisines in one restaurant bar & lounge concept.
DESIGN
Pure Asia will be designed with a panoramic open plan encouraging guests to walk around and explore the outlet. The impressive main entrance will be an elegantly illuminated piece of Thai art framed with water features. This opulent entrance allows guests to feel that they are the center of attention when they arrive at Pure Asia. The entrance will receive mostly guests from Phuket Island or the resort, as pool and beach guests would use the terrace entrance. Guests can reach Pure Asia through the Marina welcome center & reception or directly from the different villa sections of the resort.
The seating will consist of the finest wooden tables with soft, comfortable chairs/sofa chairs. Terrace furniture will be in the style of Denon or EGO France. The floor will be tiered in order to avoid all guests being on the same level and to ensure most tables can see the spectacular views over the pool and Marina or the open sea. The flooring will be crafted of rich slate and rock stone. Glass covered water channels will flow from elegant water ponds and stone arrangements throughout the terrace and gardens from outside. Ceiling to floor windows made of non-reflective glass let the scenery rush in from all angles. The different levels of the terrace garden setting will surround the restaurant.
Overhead miniature ceiling lights will illuminate the menu only while the guest is holding the menu to read and thereafter the lights will be set back again to the mood lighting.
In different parts of the terrace garden, fireplaces and lighting features will illuminate surrounding seating arrangements. The sophisticated lighting and sound system, is neatly tucked away behind rich natural materials covering the floor, walls, ceiling, columns and under table areas. The décor will be a mix of slate, natural rocks, water features, Thai gardens and patios, chic modern flower arrangements, and deep-grained timber and mahogany woods.
Thai pergolas will be strategically positioned around the landscaped terrace area for the guests to relax and to view over the ocean, whilst enjoying soothing mood music, the serenity of the island and some of the contemporary drinks or delicious Asian food of their choice. The DJ will entertain as of sun set and during the day we will have complimenting pipe in music.
The open plan design gives the outlet a feeling of space. Tiered flooring will break up the outlet enough, to give that feeling of intimacy and personal space. All dining tables will have a minimum of 100cm width with sofa and arm chairs for the comfort of the guests.
A main attraction of this outlet will be the wide terrace garden which is wind protected by large non-reflective glass panels. Open fireplaces surrounded by seating arrangements and illuminated by Asian wind lights, which will create the atmosphere of a hip open-air lounge.
Walk-in Wine & Sake cellars with degustation area in the wine bar between the restaurant and the terrace garden.
There will be live cooking kitchen stations with bar counter seating. (Grill & Broiler, Tandoori items like Yakitori, Yakiniku and elegant Asian cuisine).
The restaurant will be able to infuse the air with stimulating aromas.
The live DJ will play house music and video animation in the restaurant, bar, terrace & lounge, open kitchen and private rooms.
